Diane has been a dental hygienist for over 20 years. She began working at Paradise Dental in 2007. Diane puts all of her patients at ease when in the chair. She never wavers in her drive to treat, educate and satisfy all of her patients. Her patients are lucky to have her share her expertise and experience. Diane is our resident animal lover and expert. Over the years she has owned horses, dogs and chicken at her home. One of the great treats we get at the office is when Diane brings in a bunch of freshly laid eggs.
A long-time resident of Topsfield, MA, Cindy has been in the dental field for more than 25 years. With a passion for helping others and a strong interest in health science, dental hygiene has been a natural fit. Having worked with both Dr. Helyne and Dr. Stephen Hamelburg in other offices from years past, she knew that the standard of care at Paradise Dental Associates aligned with her professional standards. Cindy earned her dental hygiene degree from Westbrook College and later, earned her local anesthesia license from Mt. Ida College. Seeing her patients obtaining their oral health goals and maintaining healthy habits really makes her smile.With her husband of 27 years, 4 sons, and 3 Siberian Huskies, Cindy has her hands full! In her leisure time she enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach, skiing, cooking, reading and volunteering.Her family has a seasonal cottage at Asbury Grove in Hamilton. The plan is to be part of a growing Christian Community and maintain a “footprint’ in their area, for their retirement years.
Katie grew up in the small town of Westminster in central northern MA and moved to Salem a few years ago, just loving everything about the North Shore. Since then, her family has grown quite a bit having 1 niece and 2 nephews all 2 and under. She often spends much of her free time with them. Katie has been a dental hygienist for 4 years now and loves every minute of it. She received her dental hygiene certification in West Barnstable at Cape Cod Community College Having grown up loving her dentist and hygienist she wanted to create other positive outlooks and love for dentistry. She loves getting to know our patients and being able to help them improve in their oral hygiene habits. You may be surprised to know, over the past 6 years Katie has been curling,(like in the Olympics). When she isn’t practicing, or spending time with her niece and nephews, you can find her reading, going to the beach, hiking as far as Macchu Picchu) and traveling.
Marla lives in Swampscott, MA with her husband and twins (one boy and one girl), her dog and her cat. She has been a Dental Hygienist since 1992 when she graduated from Northeastern University and Forsyth College of Dental Hygiene. Prior to that, Marla earned her Bachelor of Science Degree at Salem State College. She has been working in Dentistry for 26 years with a focus on Periodontal therapies. Marla became interested in Dentistry because her father is a General Dentist. She had the pleasure and good fortune to be able to practice with him for many years prior to his retirement. The most gratifying way Marla helps her patients is helping them make the connection between their overall health and their oral health. Marla also really loves travel, planning the next adventure and getting off the beaten path.
Lavonne, was born in Baltimore and now lives in Marblehead, MA. She entered the dental profession in 2003. Lavonne was trained by the Drs. Hamelburg on the job. She has been a dedicated and loyal team member and is a huge asset to our practice. Her specialty is making patients feel comfortable, relaxed and welcome in our office! She once visited a patient at home because she learned she was having a difficult time and Lavonne wanted to make her feel better. Lavonne is a very special person. When at home, she loves to cook, spend time visiting her family and to shop, especially for her love of pocketbooks.
Hilary grew up in the North Shore and currently resides in Danvers. She has been as an assistant since 2014 and absolutely loves establishing a relationship with her patients and getting to know them better with each visit. Getting a patient comfortable and providing the utmost care is her specialty. Hilary loves spending time boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH at her family home. If she’s not there, you may find her at the beach during those summer months. If Hilary isn’t here in the office she’s probably off traveling somewhere!
Lindsay has lived in Salem her whole life with her family. She graduated from Essex Technical High School with her dental assistant license and is currently in college working towards getting her Associates in Dental Hygiene. The favorite part of her job is meeting new patients and learning about all the latest dental techniques. Her time away from the office is spent camping in New Hampshire and being with her friends and family!
Chelsea comes to us from Tewksbury, MA. She now is a happy resident of Salem. Holding a Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management from Salem State and a Graduate Certificate from the Dental Assistant Program at North Shore Community College, she comes to us with varied and extensive knowledge. Chelsea is a great asset to our team as she officially carries two roles, Dental Assistant and Front Desk Treatment Coordinator. Being able to help patients on both sides of the business is her favorite part of everyday. She also loves to help make patients comfortable and strives to make each visit the best experience possible.In her free time, Chelsea loves to play outside with her two mastiffs but, only when it’s nice. Her favorite activities are traveling and eating but her burning passion is her love for Grey’s Anatomy.
Tiana is our Front Desk Concierge and she is the first bright face you will see when you walk in the door. She loves greeting our patients with a smile and making them feel welcome all while ensuring their expectations and needs are met. Tiana’s specialty is taking care of all our new patients and making sure they have the best possible experience. She grew up in Lynn and currently resides in Salem, MA. Tiana is excited to start her journey into the world of Occupational Therapy!
She is currently studying at North shore Community College to get her OT assisting license and will transfer to Salem State University to continue her education. One of her biggest dreams is being able to travel around the world. Because of her love for Koalas, Australia is at the top of her list! On her free time, she loves to cook and spend time with family. She is also a huge Game of Thrones fan!
Jennifer is a native of Salem, MA and currently still resides with her husband and 8 year old son. Jennifer recently joined our business team as a patient coordinator. She loves be able to reassure our new patients that we are going to take great care of them, and ease any nervousness that can often be associated with the dentist. Seeing a patient’s life be impacted by dentistry and walking away with a smile is what she loves. During her free time, Jennifer spends time with her family hiking, swimming, camping and four wheeling. In quiet moments, she loves to read crime and mystery novels.
If you happen to be in the office on a Friday, you will likely see Janene. Although she is only with us one day a week, we will take her anytime we can get her. Janene is originally from Reading and currently lives in Wakefield. She has been in dentistry for 10 years as a Dental Assistant and Business coordinator. Making patients feel comfortable during their visit and knowing that they leave happy is what Janene finds satisfying.Working out, running, spin class is what keep Janene motivated and more than anything, she loves spending time with family. Nothing makes her happier!
Jessica is our accounts manager. She grew up in Danvers and now lives in Salem. As our accounts manager, she works tirelessly to ensure our patients receive all of the insurance benefits they deserve. She also is an expert at making your investment in your dental care as painless as your treatment. She says, “Helping patients be able to afford the dental care they need” is the most satisfying aspect of her job. In her free time, she enjoys boating and her biannual visit to the Azores, where her family is from.
Emily works as the Executive Assistant for Drs. Stephen and Helyne Hamelburg. After attending school at the Art Institute of Atlanta, she became interested in the field of dentistry after seeing how getting dental work done can improve a person’s entire life. Her favorite part of the job is seeing patients walking out of our office happy about their smile! Something most people don’t know about Emily? She is a huge Harry Potter fan and loves to attend Comic Con, one of the benefits of growing up in Salem!
Kelly comes to us with 20+ years of Corporate Business experience. She is responsible for all Marketing programs, Events, Brand building and new business development. She says, “Although I am new to the dental world, I was immediately drawn to Paradise Dental Associates once I met Drs. Hamelburg and understood their passion toward their patients and goals for the business. I love that one of our main objectives outside of exceptional patient care is to engage with the community and give back. Seeing a patient wowed by the level of care and added detail we give is what drives me.” Kelly enjoys spending her free time watching her sons at sporting events, and is a designer by heart and hobby. She resides in Marblehead with Her Husband, Brent and sons, Brigham and Brooks.
