While many things have changed in the past few months, one thing has remained the same: the Paradise Dental commitment to the safety of our staff and patients. Surgically clean air is a standard we implemented long before COVID-19, and one that continues to make the difference now for the safety of our practice.
Long before the recent pandemic, infection control has always been a top priority at Paradise Dental Associates. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. Thus, ensuring that our procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.
Our infection control practices are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. The addition of Surgical Clean Air in 2018 only enhanced our practices and safety. In light of recent health concerns as related to COVID-19, having Surgically Clean Air has proven to put us one step ahead in protecting our staff and patients.
Health Benefits of Surgically Clean Air
While offering our patients the highest quality of infection control, we also wanted to offer the highest quality of air. Surgically Clean Air (SCA), a medical-grade air purification system that uses a 6-stage filtration process to remove VOCs, dust, pollen, mold, allergens, odors, and chemicals. The system also KILLS germs and viruses. Inside each machine are 4 filters, containing a 6 stage filtration process including a medical-grade HEPA filter and 2 UV-C lights. The system circulates the air at a very high frequency so that every ounce of air in our office is passed through one of our 4 units repeatedly. Every 30 minutes we are utilizing the technologies to purify and re-energize every cubic foot in our practice.
